Snap signature shots of Bhutan and the Himalayas with an itinerary crafted for the wants and needs of a photographer.

Day 1


Enjoy the flight which passes through the panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks like the Everest. A Bhutanese guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be a leisure day, with the tour guide on hand in case you need assistance.

Day 2


Start the morning with a 15 minute drive to the base of the Taktshang Monastery. We will proceed with a hike uphill, where we will capture the views such as the fluttering prayer flags, the rocky hill and the monastery. On the way back to the base, we will pass by other spots such as local villages and ancient ruins.

Day 3


From Paro, we will make our way to Thimphu with stops at the Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong, Dungtse Lhakhang and Tamchong Lhakhang. Lunch at Thimphu, then back on the road for more photographic opportunities around the capital.

Day 4


The group will tour different attractions such as the Changangkha Monastery, the Sangaygang view point and museums like The Folk Heritage Museum and The Institute for Zorig Chusum. We will also enjoy a typical Bhutanese lunch in a local restaurant.

Day 5


From Thimphu, we will drive to Punakha with a quick photography session in Dochula pass, the most famous pass in Bhutan. The drive also features a breathtaking view of the Punatshangchhu River and the Wangdue Valley, with beautiful villages, farm houses and temples along the way.

Day 6


After breakfast, the group will head to Punakha Dzong for a photography session, where the monks reside during the winter. We will also drive to Phobjikha, where more picturesque Bhutanese attractions await.

Day 7


Driving through Phobjikha and Trongsa, we will make our way to Trongsa, where the Trongsa Dzong can be found. Considered as the most impressive dzong in Bhutan, it is the ancestral home of the present Royal Family.

Day 8


In Bumthang, we will attend the Prakar Festival, where the Bhutanese will dress up and celebrate Guru Padmasambava and other Buddhist deities. We will also go around the town to take pictures of the festivities.

Day 9


After a day of festivities, we will take an early domestic flight from Bumthang back to Paro. Upon arrival, we will check in the hotel then visit the Chelala Pass, the highest point between the Haa Valley and Paro Valley. It also offers a very good view of the Himalayan Mountains, including the Jumolhari.

Day 10


We will depart Bhutan and fly to your next destination.
