What To Pack For A Trip To The Philippines?

When it comes to packing for a trip to the Philippines, some travelers can go overboard. The first thing you need to remember is that we’re a tropical country, and given the state of global warming, our weather can be extreme. The heat here is like walking inside an oven while the rainy season can go our so hard it causes a flood. Another is that we have various land and water forms you can choose from. You need to choose wisely so you know which activities you have to prepare for.

Sandals and Slippers

If you’re in Manila. sneakers or flats will do, but if you’re going hiking or to the beach. Hiking sandals and slippers will be your best footwear buddies. This is because you don’t need to worry about them getting wet, if they do, they can dry easily. Also,

There will be days when you have to camp out or go island hopping and you won’t have access to towels, it’s so much better to bring your own. There are now travel-friendly towels you can look into, some even double as mats! They’re absorbent, thin, but also dry really fast.

Sunscreen

Again, the heat here is pretty aggressive, never ever leave without putting sunscreen all over your face and body.

Cash

While you can pretty much go cashless in Manila, you can’t do that in other provinces. Better to exchange your money for Philippine Peso before leaving Manila so you won’t have a hard time buying essentials. While you’re at it, make sure you have a slim, no fuss wallet to put all your travel money in.

Medicine and Vitamins

Obviously, drugstores all over the world are different. Bring your antibiotics, antihistamines, and anti-what-have-yous, you’ll need them.

Breathable Clothes

Shorts, tees, and anything cotton will basically be your best friends when you’re in the Philippines because it’s mostly 80% sunny, hot, and humid.

Make sure you bring all your essentials and put it in a versatile bag you can bring either to city, beach, or mountains.
