Why Do You Travel?
When I travel it gives me the chance to immerse in other people’s culture and that’s really fulfilling for me. Also, it’s a great opportunity to learn, and learning so many new things from a different perspective is truly humbling. I keep a visual diary of all my travels and I find myself coming back with so much inspiration, a wider horizon, and a sense of calm.
What Did You Love Most About Your Trip?
The itinerary was well thought out and the travel schedule was flexible enough that we get to decide picked up time in the morning. My favorite was staying at Hotel Tamadot, I wish we had more time to use all the amenities. The city I loved the most was Fez because the guide was so informative and we got to check out a lot of local artists there.
What’s the One Thing You Won’t Forget?
The Sahara was a standout! Glamping in the desert is something else. Choosing to have both a sunset and sunrise ride was a great way to see the campgrounds and surrounding areas despite staying just 1 night there.
What Will You Come Back for in This Trip?
I think, shopping. I’d come back with more money to buy a rug, leather goods, and lamps. Seriously!
Did This Trip Inspire You in Any Way? How?
Artistically, it did! Everything is meticulously made with such fine details. Also, I love how Morocco is abundant with natural resources and the people make use of it in the most beautiful way. Additionally, it made me want to brush up on my foreign language skills.
Why Do You Think Filipinos Should Travel?
Generally, I think, to gain a better perspective on life, people, and situations. I think, we are so drawn to stereotypes and so we need to break that by educating ourselves through travel and meeting new people along the way.
