Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban takes a break from her schedule and heads to Bhutan and Nepal for a refreshing retreat.
Why did you choose Access Travel and Tours?
I first met Angely at John and Liv Prats’ wedding, where we exchanged numbers. After that chance meeting, I made it a point to choose Access Travel, especially if I’m heading to a new destination. I like that Angely herself arranges the trip for me and that she’s ready to answer my questions.
What made you decide to take a trip to Bhutan? What were the things you considered when you picked this destination, or as you planned the trip?
Aside from wanting to see Nepal, I also listened to my friends’ recommendations and Access Travel’s suggestion that I stop by Bhutan for a side trip.
Can you share with us some of your travel tips based on this trip?
Bring a nice and trusted camera and travel with your best friend. Bhutan is a quiet destination, so it’s best if you can bring someone who will have fun with you.
Please share with us some of your recommendations based on your trip to Bhutan (attractions, restaurants, etc).
Tiger’s Nest is a must!!! It was a very challenging trek, but it was all worth it when we got to the monastery at the top. We also got lucky when we were heading back to Nepal from Bhutan, we were seated on the right side of the plane so we got to see the peak of Mt. Everest.
What were your favorite experiences or moments from your trip?
I enjoyed the long drives, visiting the monasteries, and learning the history of Buddhism. I also liked meeting and getting to know people around Paro and Thimpu. The Bhutanese are so nice and welcoming, they share kindness in their country.
What are your travel essentials?
A power bank, portable speakers, trekking shoes, light but warm jacket, comfortable clothes. We just brought our gym outfits, which are perfect for this trip because we’re always on the go.
What’s next on your travel bucket list?
We want to go to Germany!
