Travel Like… Pauleen and Vic
- November 13, 2019
Maldives is the perfect honeymoon destination: secluded beaches, over-the-water villas and the VIP service you get makes for a memorable trip. What better way to read up about it from Pauleen Luna-Sotto, who recently went to Maldives for her honeymoon with husband Vic!
Why did you choose Access Travel and Tours?
We chose Access Travel because we see other friends from the industry using Access Travel too, and that only means one thing, you can trust this travel agency. It’s amazing how they plan everything for you which makes you worry-free the entire duration of your vacation.
How did your Maldives trip go? What were the highlights or your favorite moments from the trip?
Our trip to Maldives is one for the books! Aside from the fact that it is our honeymoon, we didn’t expect the hospitality people from Four Seasons gave us. They were the nicest! Food was amazing too! We had fresh seafood everyday. They even set up a romantic dinner for 2 when they learned it was our honeymoon. The people and the resort was awesome. Not to mention the turquoise water of Maldives. It’s just breathtaking.
Can you share with us some of your travel tips based from your trip?
We like traveling a lot and maybe the best tip that I can give is take lots of photos! I’m guilty with taking lots of photos. My phone now actually has 3,000 photos in it! Crazy. I say take a lot of photos, they don’t necessarily have to be excellent photos but take them because it will make you remember good memories. It is not everyday that you get to go back to a particular place or moment, so I’m very grateful we have photos to remind us.
Please share with us some of your recommendations when in Maldives!
We’ve only been to Four Seasons Resort in Maldives but we highly recommend it! The staff are nice, there was even a Filipino who took good care of us. The food, I can’t even begin to explain how fresh all the seafoods are in that resort. They only serve the ones they catch that day! They also cook some of the dishes the way you want them to. We really felt special when we were there and if given a chance, we would like to come back someday.
What are your travel essentials?
My travel essentials are very basic.
a. Moisturizer. Plane rides can really dry up your skin.
b. Snacks. You’ll never know when you’ll get hungry.
c. Identification cards. License.
d. Basic medicines. For tummy ache, headache and allergy.
What’s next on your travel bucket list?
Next on our bucket list is Holy Land. Vic has already been there but he said he wants to go with me.
