Option 1: City and Jungle

DAY 1: Rio de Janeiro

Upon arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Our representative will assist you with check-in procedures and provide you with a detailed itinerary, covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your trip. You will also receive a contact information sheet with all the hotel details as well as our offices’ contact information and a 24-hour emergency number.

DAY 2: Rio de Janeiro

Today we will depart to visit the Christ Statue, which sits 2,300 above sea level, atop Corcovado Hill. Following a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, we will arrive at the foot of the hill from where we will embark on a small train climbing up the beautiful mountain. Upon reaching the top, visitors will experience a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is known as the “Marvelous City”.

At the set time you will be transferred to Rio de Janeiro airport. Upon arrival at Manaus airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel.

DAY 5: Manaus

Visit to the Amazonas Theater, inaugurated in 1896, and undoubtedly one of the main points of Manaus. Symbol of the era of latex rubber, all the wealth and grandeur of those times. A short stop to follow in front of the Río Negro Palace, former official seat of the Government of State and a beautiful example of architecture of the golden period of the gum (1890-1910). You will then proceed to the museum of the Salesian Congregation, a better place to understand the traditions, customs and habits of the indigenous populations of the upper Rio Negro. Visit to the Adolpho Lisbon Municipal Market, from where the Floating Port can be seen. Return to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.

Transfer to your all-inclusive hotel and then have rest of the day at leisure.

Two of the most famous sights in Rio de Janeiro are at your fingertips on this day‐long tour. First thing in the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken through downtown Rio for a panoramic tour. See the Sambodromo, stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and discover the Cinelandia Square and its wealth of historical buildings. The Municipal Theater, National Library, and National Museum of Fine Arts are all on your way as well as you head toward the Urca neighborhood, home of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Ride the iconic cable cars all the way up the mountain, stopping at Urca Hill and its vantage point overlooking Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio‐Niteroi bridge and Corcovado mountain. Finish your ascent to the top of Sugar Loaf, enjoying gorgeous views of the Copacabana beach and Santa Cruz Fortress.

Enjoy a lunch at a barbecue house before you head over to the base of Corcovado Mountain via the Cosme Velho Train. Ride through the lush and dense Tijuca rainforest to the towering Christ Redeemer statue. Standing guard over the city of Rio, the statue has a fascinating history—your tour guide, will share all the secrets with you, before you head back to hotel.

DAY 3: Rio de Janeiro

The city of Petropolis is located 60 km away from Rio and has been called the Imperial City since the times of the Emperor Pedro II. Settled by the Germans, Petropolis keeps the memory of Brazilian history alive with its buildings and charming streets. This tour starts with the visit to the Imperial Museum, which has been the summer residence of the Emperor D. Pedro II, and keeps furniture and objects such as the crown of gold, pearls and diamonds used by D. Pedro I and D. Pedro II. The tour will continue on to the Gothic Cathedral where Princess Isabel was buried along with the tombstones of D. Pedro II and his wife. From there you will see the Crystal Palace, built in France and mounted in Brazil, destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel.

DAY 4: Rio de Janeiro - Belo Horizonte

An excursion to the Inhotim Institute will take place. The Inhotim Institute is a unique destination with one of the most relevant collections of contemporary art in the world and a botanical collection that gathers rare species from all continents.

DAY 6: Belo Horizonte - Salvado

At the set time you will be transferred to Belo Horizonte airport. Upon arrival at Salvador de Bahia airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel.

In this half-day historical tour, you will get to know how the first capital of Brazil was born.

The itinerary begins at Fort Santo Antonio, where the beautiful Farol de la Barra is the starting point of the most popular Carnival trip: the DOD circuit (District of Barra / Ondina). We continue from the Historic Center to Pelourinho, for a pleasant walk for what is considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity, meeting churches, museums, the Jorge Amado House Foundation and the Lacerda Elevator, with a view of the Bay of All Saints and of the Lower City.

Take the airport transfer to the Salvador de Bahia airport for your flight back to Manila or to your next destination.
