Arrive in Vienna. Transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit one of Europe’s most renowned cathedral, St. Stephens. Have a city tour including the Ringstrassese, the State Opera House, Parliament, and many more. Then, visit The Hofburg Palace, the residence of the Hapsburgs and home of the famous Spanish riding school. Next, a visit to the Schönbrunn Palace and the royal apartments. Overnight in Vienna.
Breakfast in the hotel. Today’s destination is Salzburg, the Baroque city associated with Mozart and the “Sound of Music”. Set on both banks of Salzach River and the city, and dominated by Festung Hohensalzburg, a 12th century fortress 500ft above the town. Visit the birthplace of Mozart, now a museum. See the Residenz Platz, a 40ft fountain and the Benedictine Abbey of St. Peter. Rest of the day is free.
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to Mirabel Gardens before continuing to Munich. Sightseeing begins with a driving tour of Munich, including the Olympic Stadium, Pinakothek art museums, Royal Palaca, National Theatre, and the world famous Hofbräuhaus. Take a walking tour of the Marienplatz, which lies at the heart of Alstadt. This is where to find the Gothic New Town Hall (Neue Rathaus) with its famous Glockenspiel and the Old Town Hall. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel. Have an excursion to one of the most beautiful castles in Germany - Castle Neushwanstein. The castle was the temporary home of former King Ludwig II. The interior is filled with heavy tapestries in Romanesque and Byzantine style. Later, continue to Oberammergau for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Have some free time to enjoy Oberammergau shopping and taking photos. In the afternoon and evening, enjoy the passion play production. The play depicts the story of Christ’s Passion, beginning from Jerusalem and ending with the resurrection and transfiguration. Stay overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel. Onto Munich. Cross Konigsplatz and pass the renowned art galleries Lenbachhaus, Old and New Pinakothek. See the former artists’ quarter Schwabing and travel along Ludwig and Prinzregentenstreet, which are lined by buildings, such as the Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (Feldherrnhalle), House of Arts, Bavarian National Museum, and the Angel of Peace. After the Munich Tour, visit the training grounds of FC Bayern Munich. Afterwards, drive to the Allianz Arena, constructed for 2006 Soccer World Cup. Dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight.
Travel the panoramic “Romantic Road” and visit the best preserved medieval town in all of Europe, Rothenberg ob der Tauber. See the Rathaus (town hall) with its impressive tower and have some free time for coffee and shopping. You may choose to visit on your own the Kriminal Museum, housing all manner of medieval instruments of torture. Overnight in Rothenberg.
Breakfast in the hotel. Travel to Heidelberg, the ancient capital of Palatinate and home of Germany’s oldest university. It was a stronghold of German Reformed Protestants in 1560. One of the great confessional statements of the Reformation, the Heidelberg Catechism was produced here in 1563. Tour Heidelberg Castle. Next stop is in Worms. Here, during the Imperial Diet in 1521, Martine Luther challenged the entire Roman Catholic establishment by his refusal to recant the great doctrines of Protestantism. After seeing St. Peter’s Church and the symbolic Luther Memorial, transfer to Mainz. View the Gutenberg Monument and Gutenberg Museum to learn about printing from moveable metal type and see a Gutenberg Bible. Overnight in Frankfurt.
Breakfast at the hotel. Half day tour starts from the famous Romer town hall, constructed in the 15th century. It is Frankfurt’s most important historical building. Continue walking around the Old Sachsenhausen district and along the European banking center. Visit St. Paul’s Church and Frankfurt Cathedral (Gotischer Kirchturm). In the afternoon, transfer to the shopping outlet. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
