Access Travel client Roxanne Velasco shows us a different side of Thailand!

How did you find out about Access Travel & Tours?

I’ve been seeing great social media reviews of AT&T so I decided to give it a try a year ago. I was more than satisfied with my first experience with this agency. It was very convenient and all my requests were covered so I didn’t think twice about booking with Access again.

Why did you pick Bangkok for this vacation?

It was really hard for me to choose a destination. I just really wanted to take a break but I didn’t have a concrete plan in mind. Nica, an agent of Access Travel, was really very helpful. She suggested destinations that will fit my schedule and the activities that I have in mind. I wanted to go places and at the same time go shopping and with that I chose Bangkok.

What activity or experience did you most look forward to?

I’ve been to Bangkok in the past but I was really very excited about shopping since Bangkok is home to fashionable yet reasonably priced finds. I was also very excited to go to Khao Yai since it was a totally new experience for me. I also wanted to have an authentic Thai massage, which in my mind, would be so good after a full day of walking. Indulging in their food was also on top of my list.

What was your favorite part of the trip?

My favorite part of this trip would have to be our visit to Khao Yai. It’s Thailand’s best-kept secret! It’s a two-hour drive away from Bangkok but it will make you feel like you’re in Europe! Khao Yai offers a different range of experiences, from visiting a winery and pretty European-themed architecture to checking out animal farms and beautiful flower fields. It’s also a perfect escape from Bangkok’s very busy city streets.

What’s the best piece of travel advice or tip you can give to someone traveling to Bangkok?

Bangkok is a vibrant and bustling city perfectly mixed with an old world cultural charm. If you plan it well you’ll be able to enjoy the best of both worlds, maybe even more, and this is exactly what Access did for me.

Come to Bangkok if you want to update your closet with fashionable, affordable and unique finds. My favorite mall there would have to be Platinum Mall. If you want to have more time shopping, staying in a hotel nearby will help a lot. We stayed in a hotel on top of Platinum Mall, and trust me, everything was just convenient and hassle-free. You shop downstairs, fit in your hotel room then buy again. Also, do not buy branded clothes in the big malls since they are actually more expensive compared to Philippine price.

What’s next on your travel bucket list?

I would love to go to Iceland for the Northern Lights or to Bolivia to see the salt flats.
