Day 01: Fukuoka
Welcome to Fukuoka! Upon arrival, meet and greet your local guide before being privately transferred to the hotel for check-in.
Day 02: Fukuoka
Begin your Fukuoka adventure at Ohori Park, where you can walk around and experience various activities like renting a bike or just appreciating the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Then, proceed to see the outside of Fukuoka Tower, Japan's tallest seaside tower, and admire its impressive architecture. Fukuoka Tower is known for its modern design with a beautiful mirrored exterior. Afterwards, visit the Kushida Shrine, famous for its Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival, where you can see the Kazari Yamasaka that is permanently stationed in the shrine all year round. To cap off the day’s adventure, get ready for some shopping at Canal City Hakata and explore numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes.
Day 03: Fukuoka - Nagasaki - Fukuoka
After a sumptuous breakfast, head to the city of Nagasaki to visit Unzen Jigokudani, also known as Unzen Hell. Take a stroll through the Unzen Hell Park and get to smell the steam and gases that spurt from the ground, creating a hell-like scenery. Then, proceed to see the wooden Nagasaki Oura Church, the oldest church in Japan. Afterwards, explore the Glover Garden, an open-air museum that exhibits the mansions of several of the city's former foreign residents. It is said to be the oldest surviving Western-style house in Japan, located on the Minamiyamate hillside overlooking Nagasaki harbor. Along the path, taste and try Kakuni Manju, one of Nagasaki's most popular snacks, before heading to Nagasaki Peace Park.
The said park was built to commemorate the atomic bombing of Nagasaki City, with many statues and sculptures. This park reminds visitors of the nuclear catastrophe and the need for world peace. Proceed to the Nuclear Explosion Museum, where you’ll be able to learn more about the history of Nagasaki both before and after the bomb. Return to Fukuoka after the day’s adventure.
Day 04: Fukuoka - Oita - Fukuoka
Today, explore Yufuin Town, popular for its hot springs surrounded by mountains and its prominent skyline, the twin-peaked Mount Yufu. It’s a walkable town with shopping streets, cafes, and a wide choice of hot springs and hotels. Here, you can rent a bicycle or walk through nearby Lake Kirinko, a perfect spot to rest. In the lake, fresh water and hot spring water are mixed, leading the temperature of the water to be high and creating steam off the lake, resulting in an enchanting fairytale-like atmosphere.
Then, continue the journey to Beppu Sea Jigoku, known as the largest hot spring in Japan, consisting of seven spectacular hot springs. Afterward, enjoy seeing more of Kameyama Jigoku and Yunohana. After a full day of excursions, head back to Fukuoka.
Day 05: Fukuoka - Manila
Today marks the end of your wonderful experience in Fukuoka, Japan. After breakfast, enjoy your free time and prepare for your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Manila.
