Day 01: Baku

Welcome to Baku! Upon your arrival, get ready to explore Azerbaijan with a city excursion through the heart of Baku. Your first stop is Upland Park, offering breathtaking views of the tranquil Baku Bay. Next, head to the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center for a photo opportunity and marvel at this architectural masterpiece designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. Your journey continues to the Governor’s Garden, the Government House of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall. Discover modern landmarks such as the Flame Towers and Crystal Hall, the venue for the Eurovision Song Contest. Take a stroll along the F1 racing track on the embankment before ending your day in the Old City. Here, you'll explore architectural monuments like the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the Maiden Tower, caravanserais, mosques, and baths.

Day 02:  Baku – Gobustan – Baku

After breakfast, prepare for your transfer to Gobustan, a 60-km drive from Baku. Known for its UNESCO World Heritage rock engravings, Gobustan features over 6000 petroglyphs, ancient settlements, burial grounds, caves, and artifacts you can visit and explore.

Before heading back, visit the 1267 Bibi-Heybat Mosque and see the world's first mechanically drilled oil well from 1846. Then, visit the Surakhani Tanker Museum to learn about the history of the Caspian Sea and Azerbaijani sailors. After that, head back to the hotel in Baku to rest and prepare for another exciting day ahead.

Day 03: Baku – Shamakha – Gabala – Shaki

The day’s adventure begins in Azerbaijan's stunning mountainous regions. The first stop is Shamakha, where you will visit the beautiful Jumma Mosque. Continue to Nij Village, home to the ancient Udi people, who still speak their unique language and practice an ancient form of Christianity.

Upon arriving in Sheki, stroll through its charming streets and explore the historic Palace of Sheki Khans, renowned for its frescoes and stained glass. The day's journey also includes visits to the Lower and Upper Caravanserais, fortress walls, and local workshops. End the day with a delicious dinner before checking into your accommodation in Sheki.

Day 04: Sheki - Lagodekhi - Sighnaghi - Tbilisi

This morning, bid farewell to Azerbaijan as you cross the border into Georgia. Your first stop is the charming town of Sighnaghi, one of Georgia’s smallest towns, renowned for its picturesque landscapes in the heart of the wine region. Visit the Bodbe Monastery, a Georgian Orthodox complex constructed in the 4th century, and the Holy Spring named after Saint Nino, a revered female evangelist of the Georgians. Next, head to the Khareba Winery for a delightful wine-tasting experience. After lunch, proceed to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, a city with a rich history influenced by periods of Persian and Russian rule. Continue the trip with a visit to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the largest Orthodox church in Georgia. AFter the day’s excursion, enjoy the night in Tbilisi.

Day 05: Tbilisi – Jvari – Ananiri – Stepantsminda – Gudauri

Today, begin with a visit to the sixth-century Jvari Monastery, a remarkably well-preserved site overlooking the Kura River. Next, explore the 13th-century Ananuri Castle. Then head to Stepantsminda and take an exhilarating 4WD journey up to the Gergeti Trinity Church, the highest church in Georgia at 2200 meters, nestled under Mount Kazbek. Next, stop at the Russian-Georgian Friendship Monument for photo opportunities. Enjoy an overnight stay in Gudauri.

Day 06: Gudauri – Gori – Mtskheta - Tbilisi 

Start your day with an early morning drive to Gori, the hometown of former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. Visit the Stalin Museum to see his former residence and personal rail carriage. Next, explore Uplistsikhe Cave City, an ancient town carved from stone dating back to the late Middle Ages. Then head back to Gori for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Borjomi – Tbilisi

Today, head to Borjomi and visit Borjomi Park for an exhilarating cable car ride, enjoying the stunning views from above. Afterward, return to Tbilisi and explore the Old Town. Begin with a visit to Narikala Fortress, a 4th-century stronghold perched on a cliff, originally built to defend the city against nomads from the Caspian Sea region. Next, visit the awe-inspiring 13th-century Metekhi Church, which sits on the rock face of a hill. Conclude the day's adventures with a walk across the modern Peace Bridge in downtown Tbilisi. Spend the night in Tbilisi and prepare for another exciting day.

Day 08: Tbilisi

Today is yours to spend as you wish. You might choose to stroll through Freedom Square and explore Rustaveli Avenue, lined with historic buildings, shops, and cafes.

Day 09: Tbilisi

Today is dedicated to your personal exploration of the magnificent city of Tbilisi! You might choose to visit the Tbilisi Funicular for panoramic views of the city or enjoy a leisurely walk around Rike Park, known for its modern design and beautiful river views. Enjoy the day discovering Tbilisi at your own pace.

Day 10: Tbilisi - Sadakhlo - Sevan Lake - Yerevan

The trip starts with a drive to Sadakhlo for the border crossing into Armenia. Upon arrival, meet your guide and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Alaverdi. Next, proceed to Lake Sevan, one of the world’s highest freshwater lakes, and take in its breathtaking scenery. Visit the Sevanavank Monastic Complex, established in 874 AD. Afterward, head to Yerevan for a city tour, including the Cascade Complex, Republic Square, and the splendid Yerevan Cathedral. Spend some time exploring the open-air Yerevan Vernissage market for souvenirs and local crafts. Finally, check into your hotel in Yerevan for an overnight stay to prepare for tomorrow's adventures.

Day 11: Yerevan - Garni - Echmiadzin - Yerevan

In the morning, drive to Garni Village to visit the Garni Temple, Armenia’s only Greco-Roman building dating back to the 1st century AD. Enjoy a scenic drive to Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its churches and tombs carved into rock, exemplifying the pinnacle of Armenian medieval architecture. Next, visit Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the first cathedral built in Armenia in the 4th century, and explore the 7th-century ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, an outstanding monument of world architecture. Return to Yerevan for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Yerevan - Noravank - Khor Virap - Yerevan

After breakfast, head to the Noravank Monastery, nestled in a stunning gorge along the Arpa River. Next, visit Khor Virap Monastery, located near the Turkish border, offering breathtaking views of the Ararat Plain. Return to Yerevan and explore Dalma Market before heading back to your hotel for the night.
