Day 01: Zurich
Welcome to Switzerland! Upon arrival, meet and greet your local guide before being privately transferred to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay. The rest of the day is free for you to get acquainted with Zurich.
Day 02: Zurich
Discover Zurich, also known as the City of the Best Quality of Life. Begin the journey by seeing the castle-like museum, the shopping and business center Bahnhofstrasse, the Limmatquai with its medieval Old Town, and the view of the Lindenhof, where the brave women of Zurich saved the city from the invaders. Then, continue onto the largest church clockface in Europe on St. Peter, then to the patriarchal guild houses and the opera house, with its famous June festivals, and to the lake for a photo stop. Enjoy the great experience of traveling uphill into the "Zürichberg" district with its recently renovated noble five-star Grand Hotel Dolder and many superb mansions of glorious past times.
Additional sites you don’t want to miss visiting are the university and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich). Its most famous student and professor was Albert Einstein. And for the last stop, head onto the Old Town at Fraumünster Church, where you will admire the world-famous Chagall Windows with detailed explanations, and to the Lindt Home of Chocolate, a haven for chocolate lovers.
Day 03: Zurich - Lucerne
Explore the splendor of Lucerne, one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities, set in the snowcapped Alps, encircled by its lake, and enhanced by the pure mountain waters of the river Reuss. Continue to the town center to witness the Lion Monument, the world's most mournful piece of stone, and the Chapel Bridge, Europe's oldest wood bridge. You have the rest of the afternoon to yourself.
Day 04: Lucerne - Engelberg - Lucerne
After breakfast, take a morning drive to Engelberg, where you will experience the breathtaking journey to Mt. Titlis. The revolving cable car, RO-TAIR, provides a stunning view of the glacier's deep crevasses and massive ice boulders. A stunning Alpine view greets you at the summit of Mt. Titlis. The restaurants and sun deck provide breathtaking views of the Alps. Visit the Ice Grotto or take a ride with the chairlift Ice Flyer, which brings you close to the crevasses. Then, to get up close to the crevasses, visit the Ice Grotto or ride the chairlift Ice Flyer. If the weather permits, enjoy the winter Fun Lift and Europe's tallest suspension bridge, the Cliff Walk. After that, proceed to the town proper of Lucerne for some shopping or free time to explore on your own.
Day 05: Lucerne - Bern - Interlaken
After hotel breakfast, transfer to Bern and enjoy discovering its city highlights. Enjoy sightseeing in the Old Town of Bern with the famous clock tower, the Federal Palace, Bear Park, and the Paul Klee Center. Travel to Interlaken in the afternoon. When you arrive, take a stroll down the Hoheweg, Interlaken's main street that connects the Interlaken West and Interlaken Ost railway stations. On this street, you will find many souvenir shops. In addition to the stunning panorama of the snow-capped Jungfrau Mountain, your visit to Hohematte should also include a stroll through the tranquil "Japanese Garden."
Day 06: Bern - Jungfraujoch - Interlaken
Begin the day with a morning train ride to Jungfraujoch. The spectacular scenery and jaw-dropping views over the Alps are the highlights of the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe visit. Take a luxurious carriage to the picturesque town of Grindelwald, where you can ride a cogwheel train to the top of Europe. Then, from the Sphinx Observation Terrace, you can see mesmerizing views of the Alps and the Aletsch Glacier. Take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk through a glacier at the Ice Palace.
Day 07: Interlaken - Tasch - Zermatt
The morning is yours to explore more of Interlaken. Then, in the afternoon, prepare for your transfer to Tasch. Embark on a train ride to Zermatt, where you will check in and stay for the night.
Day 08: Zermatt
After breakfast, proceed to the station called Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Take the cable car up the mountain and enjoy the majestic views of the Matterhorn, also known as Toblerone Mountain. Then, after your jaw-dropping excursion, head back to Zermatt town and spend some time in this charming, car-free village.
Day 09: Zermatt - Broc - Gruyeres - Geneva
After breakfast, take the train from Zermatt to Tasch. Upon arrival, meet your driver, who will take you to the Geneva region. En route, visit La Maison du Gruyères and the small hilltop town of Gruyeres. Then, in the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Cailler Chocolate Museum, another haven for chocolate lovers, and learn more about how this Nestle brand of chocolate is made. After that, continue on the drive to Geneva and check-in at your hotel.
Day 10: Geneva - Vevey - Montreux - Geneva
Today, begin the journey by visiting Chillon Castle, renowned for its beauty and ranking among the best-preserved medieval European castles. Then, head to Montreux for a short sightseeing experience of the area before heading for an authentic wine tasting around the Lavaux area. After that, head back to Geneva for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Geneva
Today marks the end of your wonderful experience in Switzerland. After breakfast, you have free time to use on your own before transferring to the airport for your flight back home.
